Commission OKs Bid For Stablization Project

The Grundy County Commission tentatively approved a bid for the Sand Hill bank stabilization project during a meeting on Tuesday.

The bid of $148,389.40 from Keith Contracting of Columbia was the lowest of four bids received, with the highest bid being $198,058. The county’s engineering firm had estimated the cost of the project to be around $136,375.
Approval of the bid is subject to commissioners gathering additional information. The Columbia company is the same firm that received the bid for the Berry Bridge project.
