A total of 14 Trenton Kids Wrestling Club members were in action Saturday in Polo, wrestling in the Missouri USA District 2 Tournament. Trenton had 10 grapplers place in the top six and punch their ticket to next Saturday’s Region Tournament.

Mason Mounce and Travis Leeper came away with first-place medals as Mounce won the 14-and-under 130-pound division and Leeper took first in the 12-and-under 120-pound division.
Other Trenton placewinners included Logan Shuler, who was third in the 12-and-under 115-pound bracket; Colton Allen, who was third in the 14-and-under 105-pound division; Thomas Mack, who was third in the 14-and-under 145-pound division; Daniel Rodriguez, who was fourth in the 12-and-under 75-pound bracket; Gavin Griffin, who was fourth in the 14-and-under 110-pound division; Mason Owen, who was fifth in the 12-and-under bracket; Dalton Ellis, who was fifth in the 14-and-under 110-pound bracket; and Trey Shields, who was sixth in the 14-and-under 110-pound division.
Other Trenton wrestlers in action included Brice Gibler, Isaac Harris, Connor Lovell and Wynne DeVorss.
The 10 qualifiers will compete at the Missouri USA Wrestling Region 1 Tournament at Staley High School in Kansas City on Saturday.
