According to Grundy County Assessor Don Stotts, about 1,500 notices are being sent to those who did not return the assessment sheets by the March 1 deadline. A grace period will run until April 1 for residents to turn in the sheets without incurring a penalty. After April 1, a late fee of $10 per $1,000 assessed valuation will be implemented.
