Ruth J. Boswell, a 76-year-old resident of Trenton, died on Saturday, Feb. 26, 2011 at her home.

Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. on Tuesday, March 1, 2011 at the Slater Funeral Home in Trenton. Rev. Steve Bramblett will officiate. The body will be cremated after the service.
Open visitation is under way at the funeral home.
Mrs. Boswell was born on Jan. 8, 1935 in Advance, the daughter of Harry and Bertha Baker Goza. She attended Advance schools. She moved to Trenton in 1968 and worked at the Gables Supper Club in Trenton.
She was married on March 15, 1953 at Little Rock, AR to Marion W. Boswell, who preceded her in death on March 3, 1999.
She is survived by four daughter, Aline Dixson of Kirksville, Marcia Dixson of Kirksville, Kathy Kuykendall of Nash, OK and Wanda Pearman of Yukon, OK; three sons, Marion W. Boswell Jr. of Trenton, Joseph Boswell of Kirksville and Donnie Boswell of Trenton; one sister, Bessie Kirk of Sikeston; six grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband; her parents; two sisters, Nadine McGee and Rod Shelly; and two brothers, Ed Goza and Tex Goza.
