Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. on Monday, Feb. 28, 2011 at the Lindley Funeral Home Trenton. Burial will be in the Edgewood Cemetery.
A family visitation will be held from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. on Monday at the funeral home.
Mr. Manning was born on Nov. 26, 1946 in Chillicothe, the son of Loyal “Pappy” Manning and Edith Dudley. He was married on July 15, 1992 in Eureka Springs, AR to Delores Mammen, who survives of the home.
He served in the U.S. Navy and was a sales representative for Jasco Lighting and Janitorial of Iola, KS. He had previously worked at F&S Supply Company. He enjoyed spending time outdoors fishing, camping and hunting.
He is survived by four sons, Harold Manning Jr. and his wife, Lisa of Chillicothe, Rick Manning and his fiance, Amanda Davis of Chillicothe, Brian Rice of Trenton and Robbie Skipper of Chillicothe; three daughters, Stephanie Barclay and her husband, Rick, of Chillicothe, Deanna Boyle of Charlotte, NC and Melissa Horton and her husband, Bruce, of Willard; two brothers, Bill Manning of Chillicothe and Charles Manning and his wife, Barbara of Las Cruces, NM; five sisters, Coline Porter of Trenton, Earlene Manning of Urich, Carol McHugh and her husband, Steve of Anderson, SC, Deloris “Lori” Spainhour of Warrensburg and Joyce Lengyl and her husband, Dennis of Eldon; two brothers-in-law, Duane Mammen of Trenton and David Mammen and his wife, Mary of Chillicothe; 16 grandchildren, including Carissa Manning of Jamesport; two great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Bob; a son-in-law, John Boyle II; a brother-in-law, Forrest “Bumper” Spainhour; a nephew, Jeff Manning; and a niece, Kimberly “Sis” Manning.
