Grundy R-5 Homecoming Is Feb. 18

Grundy R-5 High School will observe Homecoming activities on Feb. 18 at the school in Galt.

The R-5 Panthers and Lady Panthers will take on the Pattonsburg Panthers that night, with the girls game staring at o’clock. Coronation of the king and queen will take place after the games, with a dance for students in grades seven through 12 to run until 11 o’clock.
Senior queen and king candidates are Bailey Brown, daughter of Cathy Brown and granddaughter of Dean and Bertha Gail Allnutt; Jordan Francis, daughter of Alex Francis and Tracy Francis; Yolanda Ruegsegger, daughter of Austin Ruegsegger and Becky Hoerrmann; Mitch Alley, son of David Alley and Kelli Alley; Shawn Gott, son of James and Dennine Gott; and Jordan Whitney, son of Joe Whitney and Jeanie Whitney.
Homecoming court attendants are freshman Alyssa Floyd, daughter of Tim and Dorothy Schroeder, and Michael Braden, son of Heather Williams and Michael Braden; sophomores Abby Atwood, daughter of Tim and Dorothy Schroeder, and Alex Marsh, son of Jim and Brinda Marsh; juniors Mina Headrick, daughter of Penny and Ed Jones, and Jordan Curtis, son of Marcia Raymo and Rodney Newton.
The high school cheerleaders have planned Homecom-ing Dress-Up Days for the week. Monday will be Pajama Party, with students wearing their pajamas; Tuesday will be Class Color Day; Wednesday will be Grease Character Day; Thursday will be Enemy Day, with students dressing as a beaten Pattonsburg Panth-er/Fan; and Friday will be Spirit Day, with students wearing black and white.
