State Elks Hoop Shoot

Three local basketball players competed at the Elks State Hoop Shoot in St. Louis on Saturday. Salem Croy of Trenton, Connor Cotton of Trenton, and Bailey Owens of Mercer, all competed at the event.

Croy picked up a trophy at the event, hitting 19-of-25 free throws to place her third overall in the 8-9-year-old girls division. Croy is the daughter of Wes and Jenni Croy.
Cotton hit 11-of-25 free throws in the 10-11-year-old boys division and Owens hit 18-of-25 in the 12-13-year-old girls division. Cotton is the son of Rod and Missie Cotton and Owens is the daughter of Dan and Jody Owens.
