Mary Carolyn Crawford Moore, 91, died on Tuesday, Jan. 25, 2011, of natural causes. Private burial will be at Resthaven Cemetery, north of Trenton.

Mrs. Moore was born on July 25, 1919 in Trenton, the daughter of William R. and Ada M. Myers Crawford. She attended local schools and graduated from Trenton High School in 1937. She married Eugene C. Moore on June 6, 1937. Mary and Gene moved to Brookfield in 1947 and she made her home there until 2006, when she relocated to Denton, TX to be near her son, Richard C. Moore, and family.
Mrs. Moore was a member of the Trinity United Methodist Church at Brookfield and was active in the Brookfield Elks Club and the Trenton High School Foundation Trust. Through the years, she was employed at the Brookfield Production Credit Association and Security State Bank. She then worked and traveled with her husband, Gene, for 11 years in various states and Canada.
Survivors include her only son and daughter-in-law, Richard C. and Jerry L. Moore; two grandchildren, Patrick R. Moore and his wife, Jamie of Argyle, TX and Meredith A. Moore Tieszen and her husband, Chad, of Denton, TX; and two great-grandchildren, Alexandra and Nash Moore.
She was preceded in death by her husband; her parents; and her grandmother, Tenia Myers, with whom she made her home from the age of two in Trenton.
