Funeral services for David Harding Johnson will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, Jan. 29, 2011 at Resthaven Mortuary, north of Trenton. Burial will be in the Campground Cemetery near Osgood.

A family visitation will be held from 1 p.m. until service time on Saturday. Open visitation begins at noon on Thursday, Jan. 27, 2011.
Mr. Harding, an 89-year-old resident of Trenton, died at 5:45 a.m. on Tuesday, Jan. 25, 2011 at the Sunnyview Nursing Home in Trenton.
Mr. Johnson was born on April 12, 1921 in Osgood, the son of David Henry and Letha Jane Waller Johnson. He was married on Oct. 16, 1943 in Paola, KS to Josephine Elizabeth Raley, who preceded him in death on Jan. 1, 2011. He wa a mechanic most of his life. He drove a milk truck and worked as a farm hand for many years and also taught shop at the Galt school. He and his wife attended the 10th Street Baptist Church.
Mr. Johnson is survived by his son, Floyd Johnson and his wife, Sue, of Trenton; nine grandchildren; and 17 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife; his parents; a daughter, Sharon Sampson; a brother; two sisters; two grandsons; and one granddaughter.
