Milan Hands Princeton A Home Loss

The Princeton Tigers suffered a close non-conference loss on Friday as they fell 59-52 to Milan at home.

The Tigers only outscored Milan in the fourth quarter, but kept things close throughout. The Tigers trailed just 18-15 after the first quarter and were down 28-22 at halftime. Milan tacked on three more points to their advantage in the third quarter before Princeton began to battle back in the final frame. The Tigers only took two points off the Milan lead, however, as the Wildcats held on for the seven-point victory.
The Tigers were led by Caleb Wyatt, who finished the game with 23 points and three steals. Vance Purdun added 12 points, six rebounds, four steals and three assists and Jake Letner tallied 10 points. The Tigers also got four points, six rebounds, four assists and three steals from Brycen Stark and three points, three assists and two steals from Brody Cridlebaugh.
The loss dropped the Tigers to 8-6 on the season. The Lady Tigers were also in action against Milan, however, no information for their game was available as of press time.
Princeton returns to action on Friday when they get back into Grand River Conference action, hosting Polo. The girls will get things started at 6 p.m. and the boys contest will follow.
