Boyd T. Covey, a 70-year-old resident of Holt, died on Saturday, Nov. 20, 2010. He was a former Trenton resident.

A celebration of life was held at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 24, 2010 at the Park Lawn Northland Chapel at Liberty.
Mr. Covey was born on Nov. 11, 1940 in Trenton, the son of Stanley and Maxine Covey. He was a 1959 graduate of Trenton High School. He was a railroad brakeman and engineer and later worked in auto sales, owning and operating Boyd’s Happy Campers since 1997. He was a member of The Rock of KC and was active at Crossroads Community Church in Kearney the past two years. He enjoyed fishing, hunting and golf.
He is survived by his wie, Carolyn; three children, Boyd T. Covey Jr., Rick Potts and Lisa Johnson; five grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a son, Brent Allen Covey; and a sister, Donna Gadberry.
