Jerry Lee Stoops
The body will be cremated and a memorial services will be held on Tuesday, Dec. 28, 2010 in Independence.
Mr. Stoops was born on Sept. 18, 1943 in Trenton, the son of Virgil and Lois Jean Tharp Stoops. He was married on Jan. 27, 1963 in Trenton to Patty Dowell, who survives of the home.
Other survivors include a son, Anthony Stoops and his wife, Michelle, and a daughter, Melissa Page, all of Independence; a brother, Larry Stoops and his wife, Barbara, of Trenton; five grandchildren, Krystin, Cody and Syvana Page and Quinten and Nathaniel Stoops of Independence; three nieces, Sherry Knapp and her husband, Mike, Stephanie Whitney and her husband, Frank, and Laurie Frisbie and her husband, Craig, all of Trenton; a niece and a nephew they raised, Christopher and Allannah Vasquez of Independence; and 10 great-nieces and nephews, all of Trenton.
