A drawing will be held to choose a Grundy County youth to light the mayor’s Christmas tree during the “Christmas in Trenton” celebration on Wednesday, Dec. 1.

From today until Sunday, Nov. 28, boxes will be placed in six downtown businesses and youths age 4 to 12 years may sign-up for a chance to be the one to light the tree in Sesquicentennial Park. The winning child will also receive a gift basket of items from participating merchants, valued at $50.
Boxes will be located at Howard’s Department Store, Trenton Hardware, the Nutty Grill, Lucky Dog Embroidery, the Antique Mall and the North Grand River Baptist Association Book Store.
