Geraldine “Geri” Davis, an 89-year-old Trenton resident, died at 5:56 p.m., on Wednesday, Nov. 3, 2010 at Wright Memorial Hospital in Trenton.

Funeral services will be held at 2:30 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 5, 2010 at the Payne Funeral Home in Galt. Pastor Doug Franklin will officiate. Burial will be in the Galt West Cemetery in Galt.
A scheduled visitation will be one hour prior to service time.
Mrs. Davis was born on Feb. 24, 1921 in Humphreys, the daughter of Wayne and Algeva Williams Carver. She was married to Leon Davis on Sept. 17, 1939 in Trenton. He preceded her in death on Oct. 17, 1971. She retired in 1984 from Wright Memorial Hospital after working as a nurse’s aide for 27 years.
She attended the Tenth Street Baptist Church.
Surviving relatives include a son, Jerry Davis and his wife, Nikki of Trenton; two daughters, Sharon Whitney of Trenton and Helen Hansen and her husband, Merlin of Lexington; eight grandchildren, Stacy Davis, Brandon Davis, Amy Davis, Denise Thomas, Jeff Whitney, Dawn Sjomeling, Randall Hansen and Debbie Carter; and 11 great-grandchildren.
In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents; a brother, Willard Carver; and a sister, Lorraine Middaugh.
