Mary E. Snuggs, an 88-year-old resident of Indianola, IA, died on Friday evening, Oct. 29, 2010 at the Sunnyview Nursing Home in Trenton.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 2, 2010 at the Church of the Nazarene in Trenton with Rev. Steve Bramblett officiating. Burial will at 3 p.m. on Tuesday at the Liberty Center Cemetery in Liberty Center, IA.
A family visitation will be from 10:30 to 11 a.m. on Tuesday at the church.
The body is at the Slater Funeral Home in Trenton.
Mrs. Snuggs was born on Feb. 18, 1922 in Indianola, the daughter of Leo Lorin and Lora May Jacoby Richardson. She graduated from Indianola schools. She lived in Spickard and then Colorado Springs, CO, moving to Trenton before moving back to Indianola.
She was a member of Church of the Nazarene in Trenton.
She was married on May 17, 1941 in Bethany to Howard G. Snuggs, who survives of Indianola.
She is also survived by two daughters, Alice Gittens and her husband, Larry of Indianola and Virginia Crumpacker and her husband, J.E of Spickard; one son, John Snuggs of Arlington, NE; one brother, James Richardson and his wife, Barbara of Indianola; nine grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; a daughter, Arlene Wetmore; a sister, Dixie Skiver; and one great-grandson.
Memorials are suggested to the Trenton Church of the Nazarene and they may be left at the Slater Funeral Home.
