Farmers Bank of Northern Missouri Makes $50,000 Donation
During a gathering at the Trenton facility, Farmers Bank President and CEO David Tribble made the commitment to the North Central Missouri College Foundation, with funds designated to assist in the development of the Barton Campus. Tribble recognized the importance of NCMC and its students to the region and noted the bank believes it needs to be a part of the Barton Campus project as it is one of the top 100 agriculture lending institutions in the U.S. He also recognized the support of the bank’s directors, employees and customers, in particular the employees who not only provide customer service in the area, but are also involved in community projects which, in turn, help support the bank and its success in the region. He gave special recognition to Betty Morrow of Unionville, who has been employed by the Farmers Bank system for 56 years, as well as the bank’s newest employee, Connie Moore, who works at the Trenton facility. Farmers Bank is headquartered at Unionville and several personnel from the bank’s regional facilities were also present for the donation announcement.
NCMC President Dr. Neil Nuttall was present to accept the donation on behalf of the college and thanked Farmers Bank for its support of the college and its students. He noted that 87 percent of students who earn a degree at NCMC stay in the region and that the donation will be “put to good use” in support of the Barton Campus and the college’s agriculture program.
In addition to Dr. Nuttall, ag students Troy Meinke of Princeton, Johnna Garrett of Hemple, Heather Main of Bucklin and Andrew Hawkins of Gower were also present to accept the donation along with ag instructors David Nowland and Rustin Jumps. Other foundation board members and members of the college Board of Trustees were also present.
