The seventh annual Chillicothe Grand River Harmony Chorus “idol” scholarship auditions are planned for Monday, Oct. 25 at the Chillicothe Presbyterian Church.

High school students interested in participating must set up a time for their vocal audition by contacting Kenny Crawford at 646-4767. Any student in grades nine through 12 is eligible to compete.
A first round of auditions was held on Monday, Oct. 11. From the two nights of auditions, Grand River Harmony Chorus members will select the top five performances, with those students then performing at the chorus’ “Country Showdown” fall concert on Nov. 6 at the Chillicothe Free Methodist Church. The winners will be selected by votes from the audience members, with prizes of $200, $100, $75, $50 and $25 being given to the first- through fifth-place winners.
