The Grundy County Horsemanship 4-H Club met on Sunday, Oct. 10 at Royal Inn Pizza with 16 members, 16 leaders and three guests present.

Kori Grogan opened the meeting and roll call was answered with each person telling their favorite pizza. Bailey Owen and Mason Owen led the pledges to the U.S. and 4-H flags.
The club attended the First Assembly of God Church on 4-H Sunday and has decorated a window at Heartland Reality. The 4-H Council report was given by Melodie Shutterly. Enrollments for this year were turned in.
A hayride is to be held on Oct. 23 with a meeting to be held prior to the hayride. The 4-H Recognition is at 2 p.m. on Sunday, Oct. 24 at the First Christian Church and each family is to take a fingerfood. The club will collect for United Way on Oct. 24 and will meet at the Edinburg Baptist Church parking lot as soon as the recognition event is over to begin the collection.
An election of officers was held. Kori Grogan was chosen as president. Other officers are Michaela Jaycox, vice president; Madison Trump, secretary; Bailey Owen, treasurer; Samantha Kaster, reporter to the extension officer; Melodie Shutterly, reporter to the newspaper; Mason Owen, 4-H council representative; and Cheryl Leffler and Jonine Jaycox, club leaders.
The next meeting will be at 6 p.m. on Oct. 23 at the home of Donnie and Jennifer McCully.
