Dale Smith, an 80-year-old Chula resident, died early morning on Saturday, Oct. 9, 2010 at the Sunnyview Nursing Home in Trenton, where he had been since June 24, 2010.

Graveside services will be held at 2:30 p.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 12, 2010 in the Haseville Cemetery east of Laredo. A scheduled visitation will be held from 7 to 8 o’clock tonight (Monday, Oct. 11, 2010) at Resthaven Mortuary, north of Trenton.
Mr. Smith was born on Aug. 26, 1930 in Livingston County, the son of Harley and Emmaline Searcy Smith. He was a lifelong resident of Chula, where he farmed and auctioneered.
He is survived by several cousins.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
