Ina Jean Kimberling, an 80-year-old former Jamesport resident, died on Sunday, Sept. 26, 2010 at the Morningside Center in Chillicothe.

Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Thursday, Sept. 30, 2010 at the Lindley Funeral Home in Chillicothe. Burial will be in the Masonic Cemetery at Jamesport.
A family visitation will be held from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. on Thursday at the funeral home, prior to the service. Open visitation will be held from noon to 9 p.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 29, 2010 at the funeral home and until service time on Thursday.
Mrs. Kimberling was born on Aug. 17, 1930 in Jamesport, the daughter of Roy Alfred and Mary Pearl Walker Smith. She graduated from Jamesport High School in 1948. She was married on June 6, 1948 at Jamesport to Joseph Luverne Kimberling, who preceded her in death.
She worked as a bookkeeper/secretary for Hoffman and Reed and was also co-owner of K&W Farm Services. She was a member of the Community of Christ Church.
She is survived by three daughters, Mary Ann Ihler and her husband, James, of Columbia, Joan Sweets and her husband, Ted, of Chillicothe and Betty Kimberling of St. Joseph; a daughter-in-law, Kelly Kimberling of St. Joseph; two brothers, George B. Smith and J. Ray Smith and his wife, Jayla, all of Jamesport; six grandchildren, Jonathan Ihler and his wife, Becky and Chris Ihler of Columbia, Katie Ashley and her husband, Devin, and Tobi Allison Kimberling of St. Joseph, Tracy McConnico and her husband, James, of Independence and Kim Sweets of Belton; six great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband; her parents; a son, Robert Kimberling; an infant son, David James Kimbering; and a sister-in-law, Lula Smith.
The family suggests memorial contributions to the Robert G. Kimberling School Fund. They may be left at or mailed to the funeral home at PO Box 47, Chillicothe, MO 64601.
