Gene Ray Siemer a 45-year-old resident of rural
Spickard, died on Friday, Sept. 24, 2010, at his farm, north of Spickard.

Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, Sept, 28, 2010, at South Evans Church, east of Tindall, with Pastors Dave Donnell and Danny Moore officiating. Burial will be in the South Evans Church Cemetery.
Open visitation is under way at the Greenlee-Middleton Funeral Chapel in Princeton, where the family visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. on Monday, Sept. 27, 2010.
Mr. Siemer was born on Oct. 14, 1964 in Denison, IA, the son of Gail Laverne and Betty Ann Henningsen Siemer. He lived his early years in Denison, moving with his family to Trenton in 1977. He was a 1983 graduate of Trenton High School. He first worked for ConAgra in Milan for 10 years, but has been employed most of his life as a driver for Rex Siemer Trucking, now based in Mercer.
He was first married to Lisa Saul on May 29, 1984. He was married on Sept. 28, 2002 to Amy Alene Clingingsmith.
He enjoyed the outdoors, deer and turkey hunting and bullriding.
He is survived by his wife, Amy, of the home; three daughters, Melissa McDonald of Clarksdale, Amanda Siemer of St. Joseph and Lori Siemer of the home; a son, Trace Siemer of the home; two grandchildren, Avery and Danica McDonald; his father, Gail Siemer and his wife, Betty, of rural Spickard; his mother, Betty Ann Siemer of rural Spickard; one brother, Brian Siemer and his wife, Raina of Springfield; two sisters, Audra Dowty and her husband, Donovan, of Buckner and Angela Michaelis and her husband, Jeremy of Mercer; his maternal grandparents, Harold and Ellen Henningsen of Denison; two stepbrothers, Mark and Steve Hanes, of Trenton; one stepsister, Joyce Eads of Coffey; and by several other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Frank and Gladys Siemer; and by an aunt, Lois Maxwell.
