The Missouri Department of Transportaton has closed Route A to traffic as the bridge over the Weldon Fork, two miles west of Highway 65, has collapsed.

The center pier of the bridge was knocked out from debris that accumulated due to heavy rainfall and high water levels, making it unsafe for motorists.
Bridge engineers will conduct structural inspections and MoDOT will keep the public informed on the results of those inspections.
Motorists must choose alternate routes around the closure.
