Youth Leadership Program Has Openings
The program, open to Trenton High School juniors and seniors ages 16 to 18, continues for a seven-week period and is designed to assist in the development of leadership skills for area teens looking to gain knowledge and experience in leadership roles. Topics will include public speaking interviewing, financial preparedness and education. There will be city, business, health, education and law enforcement tours as well as a poverty simulation and mock job interview. The final program will be on Tuesday, Nov. 19.
The cost for the program is $50, which includes meals and supplies. Scholarships are available for students who qualify. For more information or to secure an application, persons may call Community Developer Ralph Boots at Trenton City Hall, 359-4310.
