Lee W. “Jerry” Sharp, a 70-year-old resident of Liberty, died on Tuesday, Sept. 14, 2010.

A celebration of life will be held at 10 a.m. on Friday, Sept. 17, 2010 at the Park Lawn Northland Chapel at Liberty. Burial will follow in Glenridge Cemetery.
Visitation will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. on Thursday, Sept. 16, 2010 at chapel.
Mr. Sharp was born on May 12, 1940 in Broken Arrow, OK, the son of Lucille and Floyd Mayfield. He was a court reporter, retiring from the 16th Judicial Circuit Court of Jackson County in 1998. He was a member of the Missouri Court Reporters’ Association and was Methodist in faith.
Survivors include his wife of 48 years, Emily Reid Sharp; three children, Lori Cogan (Tim), Jeff Sharp (Juli) and Carrie Wingo (Louie); three brothers, James Sharp, Larry Sharp (Carolyn) and Bruce Mayfield (Cindy); a sister, Carol Ann Coulter (James); six grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
