Wright Memorial Hospital will host its annual Family Health Festival on Saturday, Sept. 18 at the Ketcham Community Center on the North Central Missouri College campus.

The event will be held from 7 to 11 a.m. and will feature health and safety information from various vendors who will be set up in and around the KCC gymnasium. In addition, there will be activities for children.
A highlight of the festival each year is the various screenings that are made available at a nominal cost. Screenings to be offered this year include glucose (diabetes), lipid panel (heart disease, including cholesterol, triglycerides, HDL and LDL), ATL (liver), creatine (kidney), CBC (anemia, infection state and bleeding state) and Iron/transferrin (iron stores). For an additional $10 per test, persons can also be checked for PSA (prostate) and THS (thyroid).
