A series of programs are scheduled at Crowder State Park over the Labor Day weekend.

A “creatures of the night” hike will take place at 8 p.m. on Friday. Participants will meet at the campground amphitheater to hike through the woods and learn about the creatures that can be heard and seen at night. Persons are requested to wear closed-toed sturdy shoes.
Saturday’s program will be at 10 a.m. at the campground amphitheater, where Nature Bingo will be played. On Sunday, a demonstration on campfire cooking will be held at 2 p.m. Park staff will be demonstrating several ways to feed a family while camping, including Dutch oven cooking. Samples and recipes will be provided.
All programs are free and open to the public. Children must be accompanied by an adult.
