Hawks
As bad as the girls game was for Gilman, the boys contest was equally good. Nick Wilson and Taylor Eoff combined for a three-inning no hitter. Wilson walked two and struck out one in two innings of work and Eoff struck out one in his lone inning of work.
At the plate, Wilson and Eoff, along with Ross Oram and Ryan Burrows, led the charge that put up 15 runs on 12 hits. Eoff was 2-for-2 with a home run, a double and four RBIs. Wilson went 2-for-2 with a home run and Oram was 2-for-2 as well with a home run and three RBIs. Burrows was 2-for-2 with a double and two runs driven in.
The Hawks’ dominating performance established a 1-0 overall and HDC Conference mark.
Gilman returns to the diamond on Monday when they travel to Galt to take on Grundy R-5.
