The Missouri Department of Transportation plans to close to traffic the Route WW bridge over Hickory Creek in Grundy County on Tuesday, Aug. 24, at 7 a.m.

The bridge is located approximately two miles east of Highway 6. The closure is weather dependent and could be delayed or rescheduled. Work originally was to begin Monday, Aug. 23.
The bridge will be closed to all traffic until work to replace the bridge is completed. The bridge is anticipated to reopen Sept. 29. During this time, motorists must choose alternate routes.
The new bridge on Route WW will be four-foot wider and will accommodate two-way traffic.
