Committee members re-elected Gary Black as county chairman. Other officers include Becky McDonald, vice chairman; Diane Lowrey, secretary; and L.D. Gibson, treasurer.
A GOP rally was scheduled for 6 p.m. on Tuesday, Sept. 28 at the North 65 Center, with Tom and Linda Eads providing hamburgers and hot dogs. Committee members will bring side dishes, desserts and drinks. It will be an eat-what-you-want, pay-what- you-want fundraiser and Republican state auditor candidate Tom Schweich is anticipated to be the keynote speaker. There will also be musical entertainment during the evening.
