Adam Lafferty, son of former Trenton resident Don Lafferty and grandson of former Trenton residents Jerry and Sharon Lafferty, provided the winning RBIs in the Columbia Missouri-Boone County Little League team’s 8-7 win in the Little League Central Regional Tournament at Indianapolis, IN on Saturday.

Lafferty hit a triple in the top of the sixth inning to drive in two runs and help the squad take the lead, then made a catch in leftfield in the bottom of the inning with one out and a runner on second to keep their Kansas Little League opponents from tying the contest. The pitcher then struck out the last inning to preserve the win.
The team then played on Sunday, falling to the South Dakota champions. No score was given, however, Lafferty picked up the loss on the mound. The team was scheduled to play the Iowa LL champions today.
