Judge Jack Peace
Brooke Marriott, 25, Trenton, pleaded guilty to stealing and had sentencing set for Sept. 16.
Associate Division
Judge Steven D. Hudson
Laurie A. Douglas, 40, 2600 Oklahoma Ave., pleaded guilty to two charges of failing to register a motor vehicle annually with the Director of Revenue and was fined $27.50 and $58.50 costs on each charge. She also pleaded guilty to not wearing a seat belt and was fined $10.
Yin Feng Pei, 47, Albia, IA, pleaded guilty to speeding and was fined $76.50 and $58.50 costs.
Martin D. Sanford, 214 E. 11th St., pleaded guilty, pursuant to a plea agreement, to passing bad checks. He was sentenced to serve 15 days in the Grundy County Detention Center.
Small Claims
Gregory Wayne Keuhn vs. Brandon Glenn Casteel. The court ruled in favor of the plaintiff in the amount of $3,068. The case involved non-payment for a vehicle.

Judge Steven D. Hudson
Jill E. Brown, 42, 2011 Pleasant Plain, and Misty Mathews, 34, 1010 W. Crowder Rd., pleaded guilty to failing to display valid vehicle license plates and were fined $50.50 and $34.50 costs.
