Dortha Mae Propps, a 92-year-old resident of Centerville, IA, died at 4:55 a.m. on Saturday July 31, 2010 at the Centerville Rehab and Nursing Home in Centerville.

Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday, Aug. 3, 2010 at the Payne Funeral Home in Galt. Burial will be in the Harris Cemetery at Harris.
Open visitation is under way at the funeral home. There is no scheduled family visitation planned.
Mrs. Propps was born on Dec. 27, 1917 in Grundy County, the daughter of Wesley and Josie Baugher Foster. She was married at Princeton on June 4, 1950 to Clarence Howard Propps, who preceded her in death in April 1986. They lived all their married lives in the Harris community.
Mrs. Propps attended the Newtown Baptist Church and the Centerville Church of the Nazarene.
Mrs. Propps is survived by four daughters, Wanda Leck and Margaret Grimes both of Centerville, Shirley Propps of Kansas City and Mary Breeze of Breckenridge; a sister, Fern Rogers of Milan; two grandchildren, Melanie and Michael; four great-grandsons, Michael, Jesse, Luke and James; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded by her parents; three brothers, John Sanford, Vernie and Fred Foster; and a stillborn sister, Helen Foster.
