Tell Us About Yourself:
My family and I moved to Trenton in 2002 from northeast Ohio. My husband, Wes, works for the city of Trenton Street Department. Our daughters, Katie and Maddie, attend Trenton schools. Katie is junior and Maddie is going into seventh grade. They are active in band and choir. We are active members of the Liberty Baptist Church in Trenton. I teach Sunday school and I am the church clerk. I serve on the Grundy County Nursing Home Board as the secretary/treasurer and am a neighborhood volunteer for the March of Dimes, the American Heart Association and the American Lung Association. I graduated with honors from high school and earned my associate customer services designation from the Life Office Management Association. I am a licensed Missouri life/health insurance agent and am currently managing the office of Heartland Financial Group.
What is Your Background for this Office?
For the past 23 years I have been involved in all aspects of office administration, financial recordkeeping and budget planning through my years of employment and volunteer work. For the past six years I have managed the office of Heartland Financial Group and for 16 years in Ohio I was a senior correspondence analyst for Westfield Life Insurance Company. For five years I volunteered to be the financial secretary for a Christian school and church.
What Makes You the Best Candidate for This Position?
I am the best candidate for this position because I view it as an opportunity to serve the community and not just another job. My longevity at my current and prior jobs show that my employers could trust me to not only learn the mechanics of the job, but how to carry out these mechanics in a professional, courteous manner. As your county clerk, Grundy County citizens, you are my employer and you can trust me to treat this office with as much care and respect as I have treated all of my past employment opportunities.
