“Travis is a tremendous guard who has played at a high level,” Richman said. “He has one year of post-high school basketball experience at Queen City Preparatory School in Charlotte, NC that will allow him to make an immediate impact on our team. He can score and his defense is very good as well.”
At Queen City Prep, Gray averaged 17 points, seven assists and four rebounds per game. Queen City ranked eighth in the country during Gray’s season with the school. During his high school career, Gray was named to the all-district team for three seasons and to the all-parish team his junior year. He averaged 16 points, six assists and four rebounds in high school.
Gray is the son of Donna George and Kenneth George and expects to earn an associate degree in teaching at NCMC before transfering to a four-year university to major in physical education.
