The Pershing Scholarship is a four-year scholarship that is awarded to 12 outstanding scholars and leaders. Recipients typically lead their high school peers academically and often score in the top three percent nationally on the ACT or SAT. The scholarship covers full-time tuition, average room and board plus a study abroad stipend. The program is unique throughout Midwest institutions of higher education and is recognized as one of the most prestigious awards offered to high school graduates.
Ms. King is the daughter of Brian Mock and Catherine King and the granddaughter of Tom and Barbara Mock, all of Trenton. She graduated this past May as valedictorian of her class.
