Gladys Elaine Hagan an 89-year-old resident of Princeton, died on Tuesday, June 29, 2010 at the Liberty Hospital.

Funeral services will be held at 3:30 p.m. on Saturday, July 3, 2010 at the Bethel Church, northwest of Princeton, with Pastor Chuck Miller officiating. Burial will be in the Bethel Church Cemetery, under the direction of the Greenlee-Middleton Funeral Chapel of Princeton.
The family visitation will be from 2:30 to 3:30 p.m. on Saturday at the church.
Mrs. Hagan was bon in Mercer County on Aug. 14, 1920, the daughter of Howard and Christena Crouse Hart. She lived most of her life in Harrison and Mercer counties. She attended the Cain and Willis schools and was a member of the Bethel Methodist Church.
She was married on Feb. 26, 1950 to Hubert Dewain Hagan, who preceded her in death on March 3, 2009. The couple owned a farm south of the Bethel Church until they retired to Princeton in 1978. She enjoyed cooking, reading, watching the birds at the feeders in her back yard and her family.
Mrs. Hagan is survived by three daughters, Norma Sollman (Fred), Patsy Abernathy (Dan), all of Kansas City, and Donna Covey (Mike) of Princeton,; one son, Clifford Hagan of Princeton; four grandchildren, Nicholas Covey (Amanda) of Princeton, Shawn Sollman of Kansas City, Angela Sollman of Oxford, AL and Ryan Covey (Amber) of Ft. Worth, Texas; six great-grandchildren, Andrew, Clarissa, and Amelia Covey, and Mallorye, Andrew, and John Birge; numerous nephews and nieces; three sisters, Pauline Beard of Pleasanton, IA, Marjory Barratt of Maryville and Jean Courter of Kansas City; sisters-in-law, Naomi Tucker Hart of Kansas City, Louise Phillips Hagan of Oxnard, CA and Annibel Kirkpatrick Hagan of Trenton; and brothers-in-law, Frank Courter of Kansas City and Ferril Hagan of Trenton.
She was preceded in death by her husband; her parents; two brothers, Clifford and Francis Hart; brothers-in-law, George Barratt and Willard Beard, Cecil, Mervil, Lloyd and Carl Hagan, Leo and Clell Dunn, Lloyd Larason and Clarence Kindred; and sisters-in-law, Irma and Lois Dunn, Avis Larason, Faye Kindred, Lenora Gallatin Hagan, Veta Trembly Haganø and Mildred Kindred Hagan.
