Just over $2,500 has been collected for fireworks that will be detonated as part of the citywide fireworks display the evening of July 4.
Fireworks Donations
Additional funds are needed and donations are still being accepted from individuals, groups and businesses. Contributions can be left at or mailed to the Trenton Area Chamber of Commerce at 617 Main St., Trenton, MO 64683. Checks should be earmarked “fireworks.” Donations can also be left with Diane Lowrey (Trenton Republican-Times), Rosetta Marsh (Trenton City Hall) or Robin Dennert (H&R Block), who are serving as co-chairmen for the fireworks event.
Those making donations thus far include Wilford Income Tax, PDQ Cleaning, The Spillman Law Firm, Trenton Lions Club, Mayor Cathie Smith, K&W Popcorn, David Miller, Trenton Rotary Club, Preceptor Nu chapter of Beta Sigma Phi, Ron and Norma Dougan, Charles Hoffman, Farmers Bank of Northern Missouri, Precision Machine and Welding, Jim’s Building Supply, Freedom Motors, Andy’s Auto Body, Trenton Main Stop, Green Hills Chiropractic and Acupuncture, TNT Convenience (and donation jar), Heritage Club, Rosetta and Doug Marsh, Sunnyview Nursing Home, Gondringer Enterprises, T&L Auto Supply, Grundy County Lumber, American Family Insurance, Huckleberry’s, Kinnison Embroidery, MTO, Trenton Elks Ladies, Colin and Nora Withers, Warren and Peggy Kirby, Trenton Downtown Improvement Association and Debbie Carman.
