Nels Clifford Edwards Lange, 65, of Lincoln, NE, died on Monday,π June 14, 2010, with his family by his side.
Nels Clifford Edwards Lange
Cliff was born May 25, 1945 in Ames, Iowa to Pete and Elizabeth (Woods) Lange.
Always happiest outside, Cliff was an avid hunter and gun enthusiast. His love for gardening and people always made him a friend to anyone he encountered. To those who knew him well, Cliff was someone who was not afraid of working through obstacles in life. To many he was their “hero” and an inspiration to most. Touching the lives of all he knew, Cliff showed us what it means to be a fighter. He spent most of his working career as a Millwright and belonged to Local 1529, Kansas City.
He is survived by his five children, Cliff Edwards (Tammy), of Poughkeepsie, NY, Lesa Boom (Mickey) of Hudson, CO, Jodi Lynn Reeves (Shannon) of Herington, KS, Jesse Lange of Humphreys, and Laura Christine Cavazos (David-Paul) of Kansas City; 11 grandchildren; two sisters, Lu Anna Davis of Kansas City, and Janet Edwards (Pinky), Council Grove, KS; and one brother, Chris Lange, Council Grove, KS.
Service will be held at 1 p.m. on Saturday, June 26, 2010 at the Gentle Shepherd Baptist Church, 1601 West Burnham Street, Lincoln, NE. with Pastor Gary Fuller officiating. The body was cremated and no visitation is planned.
The family suggests donations to HoriSun Hospice, 3883 Normal Blvd., Ste. 108, Lincoln, NE 68506 or The Gentle Shepherd Baptist Church, 1601 West Burnham Street, Lincoln, NE 68522.
