Memorial services for Ernie Stewart are scheduled for 10 a.m. on Friday, June 18, 2010 at South Evans Christian Church, northeast of Trenton. Burial of the cremains will be in the South Evans Cemetery.

A visitation is scheduled from 6 to 8 p.m. on Thursday, June 17, 2010 at Resthaven Mortuary, north of Trenton.
Mr. Stewart, a 76-year-old Trenton resident, died at 7:20 a.m. on Sunday, June 13, 2010 at Sunnyview Nursing Home in Trenton.
Mr. Stewart was born on Nov. 24, 1933 in Milan, the son of Everett and Erma Crouse Stewart. He was raised in Humphreys and graduated from Humphreys High School. He was employed with Trenton Foods for 31 years, retiring in 1994. After retiring he worked for Taylor Fiberglass Vault Company until his health required him to stop. He had been an active member of the Trenton Saddle Club, and was a member of South Evans Christian Church.
Surviving relatives include his wife, Cindy, of the home; a son, John, and his wife, Dawn of Trenton; two step-daughters, Amy Harris and her husband, Kevin of Trenton and Julia Holles of Liberty; six grandchildren, Lisa; Kelli, Michael, Michelle, Tiffany and Kristina; five step-grandchildren; Quincy, Marshal, Claire, Dillon, and Preston; three great grandchildren; and a niece, Marie VanWye of Trenton.
Those preceding him in death include his parents; a son, Ron Stewart; two brothers, Shannon and John; and seven sisters; Veryl, Margaret, Ilene, Clella, Helen, Ellen and Pauline.
Memorial donations are suggested to the South Evans Building Fund or the Wright Memorial Hospice and may be left at the mortuary.
