Area Girl Scouts will have the chance to earn a couple of new badges during an event scheduled for Saturday at the Trenton Family Aquatic Center.

A workshop is scheduled for Brownies and Junior Girl Scouts in which the Brownies will earn two try-its and Juniors will earn two badges. Registration begins at 9:30 a.m., with the event to run from 10 a.m. until noon. The group will break for lunch (scouts should bring a sack lunch) and will then enjoy a free swim at the pool. The cost for the event, which does not require preregistration, is $5. All area Brownies and Juniors are invited to attend. For more information, persons may contact Lynda Lynch at 654-1584.
