According to Trenton Police Chief Bob Lewis, 21-year-old Carl Devillez was arrested by the Chillicothe Police Department after the incident, which began with a call to the TPD at 10:46 p.m. Saturday. Chief Lewis said the suspect, who worked inside the plant but whose actual employer was not available, had been involved in an ongoing dispute and had told a co-worker that he had made pipe bombs. The co-worker later relayed the information to his superiors, who made the call to authorities. Chief Lewis said the Trenton plant was evacuated, with the TPD setting up a perimeter. The NITRO federal task force was called and provided a bomb dog from the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms. After a search, it was determined no bombs were in the building, however three pipe bombs were found at Devillez’s residence and were collected by NITRO. Devillez has been charged with making a terrorist threat and is being held on $25,000 cash or corporate surety bond.
In addition to the agencies already listed, the Trenton Fire Department provided assistance during the incident.
