Students in the Grundy R-5, Laredo R-7, Pleasant View R-6 and Spickard R-2 school districts completed requirements for the DARE Program recently.

Grundy R-5 Elementary
Mrs. Mika Bauer’s class took part in the program, with Mason Alley named the essay winner. Other students in the class included Thomas Dalton, Joey Drake, Gabby Griffin, Kylie Littleton, Winston Mackey, Mathew McLain, Rebecca McLain, Jesyka Peirce, Amara Pratt, Morgan Ronayne, Megan Saul, Emily Torrey and Kenton Ward.
Laredo R-7
Students in Mrs. Alesia Campbell’s fifth and sixth grade room completed requirements for the program, with sixth grader Mason Larson being named the essay winner. Students in the program included Heather Berry, Melody Ireland, Carlee Johnson, Mckenna Owens, fifth grade; and Shelby Eckert, Malinda Foster, Josie Frame, Mason Larson, Shanna Nichols, Nicholas Pipes, Malachi Sethman and Chase Tolson, sixth grade.
Pleasant View R-6
Students in Mrs. Cheri Allen’s fifth and sixth grade room completed the requirements for the DARE program, with sixth grader Alexis Fender being named the essay winner. Fifth grade students receiving the recognition were Roya Cox, Truman Elbert, Payton Guile, Sheridan Jamvold, Adam Kirby, Maggie McNabb, Jenna Meservey, Wyatt Stephenson, Mikeljon White, Kris Wilson, Samantha Walker. Sixth graders included Hannah Brinser, Alex Curtis, Alexis Fender, Layton Harkins, Chanse Houghton, Tyler Lynch, Kaylie Russell, Madison Trump, Kody Westcott and Tosha Wilson.
Spickard R-2
Students in Mrs. Tracy Willis’ fifth and sixth grade classroom also completed the DARE requirements, with sixth grade Alex Anderson being named the essay winner. Students participating in the program were fifth graders Damion Baker, Christy Calhoun, Holly Glenn, Keegan Griffin, Charlie Hall, Michaela Jaycox, Kelsey Joiner, Andrew Robinson, Katie Warren. Sixth grader include Alex Anderson, Bobby Gormley, Mikaela Munday and Levi Roberts.
