The Grundy County Nursing Home Board of Directors met in regular session on Monday night at the Sunnyview Nursing Home and Apartments.

According to information provided by assistant secretary Matt Krohn, the proposed preliminary budget for next year was discussed and administrator and RCF reports were approved. Also approved were updates to the employee handbook. The board accepted the bid of Northwest Missouri Automatic Sprinkler Corporation to upgrade the facility’s sprinkler system to meet forthcoming regulatory requirements. A bid from Reger Electric was also accepted to update the facility’s fire alarm system.
Administrator Kristy Garrison updated the board regarding planned work to upgrade facility handrails. No bids were received, however, Ms. Garrison shared information she obtained for estimated costs of repairs and upgrades to the handrails.
A closed session was held to discuss an employment matter. No announcement was made.
The next meeting is scheduled for Monday, June 16.
