Preparations for the June 20-21 Humphreys Fair were discussed at a meeting on Friday at the community building.

Entertainment and food were the main focus. It was confirmed that the band Station 803 is booked for Friday evening and Country Medicine Band is the band booked for Saturday evening. It was decided there will also be a baby show on Friday evening. Refreshments will include BBQ beef sandwiches, nachos and soft drinks.
Saturday’s events will include a consignment auction, children’s games, a cookie stacking contest, a poker run, trail ride, pet show, parade and funnel cakes. Chairmen have been selected for each of these activities. Plans were made to prepare BBQ beef sandwiches, sloppy joes, hot dogs and nachos and also serve homemade desserts for the eat-what-you-want, pay-what-you-want lunch and supper to be held at the community building.
There will be a merchant’s drawing and tickets for the raffle drawing should be ready this week. Flyers will soon be printed and posted, which will give more details concerning the events and the times.
The next meeting will be at 1 p.m. on May 25, during which time committees will give reports. Volunteers are also invited.
