The Trenton Acting Guild will hold an organizational meeting for its summer musical, “Tom Sawyer.” at 7 p.m. on Thursday, May 22 in the music building at Trenton High School.

Middle school and high school students are needed, along with adults, for this down home musical about a Missouri legend. Anyone interested in performing or helping with technical aspects are invited to the meeting. Parents of participants are especially encouraged to attend. The level of participation at this meeting will determine if the musical will be presented.
Singing roles for the show include Tom Sawyer, Huck Finn, Becky Thatcher, Aunt Polly, Cousin Mary and Sid Sawyer. There are also numbers for a boys chorus, a kids chorus, and an adult chorus. Songs are up tempo and varied. There are also several acting roles for boys, girls, men, and women. These acting roles include chorus numbers, but no solos.
Tentative dates for the show are Friday, July 25 and Saturday, July 26, with rehearsals being held after July 4. For more information, persons can call Dr. Vicki Wheeler at 359-6229.
