Robert Edward Hummel, a 55-year-old resident of Marshall, WI, died on Thursday, May 1, 2008 at his home.

Funeral services were held on Tuesday, May 6, 2008 at the Marshall United Methodist Church.
A second service will be held at 3 p.m. on Saturday, May 10, 2008 at the Princeton Baptist Church. Pastor Guy Olin Thomas will officiate under the direction of the Greenlee-Middleton Funeral Service in Princeton. Burial will be in the Princeton Cemetery.
A family visitation will be held from 1 p.m. until service time at the church.
Mr. Hummel was born on April 13, 1953 in Juneau, WI, the son of William and Margaret Hampshire Hummel. He was a veteran of the Vietnam War, serving in the Air Force. He was owner of Fine Tune Auto Service in Madison, WI and served as a consultant to WLS and other area radio stations. He was a member of the Marshall United Methodist Church, the Amateur Radio Relay League and Sky Warn with the National Weather Service.
He was married on June 22, 1974 in Princeton to Roberta Ann Roberts, who survives of the home.
Other survivors include a son, Kenneth W. Hummel of Cambridge, WI; a daughter, Linda J. Flint of DeForest, WI; a grandson, Franklin T. Flint of Marshall; two brothers, Bill Hummel and his wife, Barb, of Eagle River, WI and Paul Hummel and his wife, Diane, of Saginaw, MI; four sisters-in-law, Debbie Werneke and her husband, Jerry, of Concordia, Linda McGuire and her husband, Eugene, of Higginsville, Connie Hyden-Fidler and her husband, Everett of Higginsville and Diana “Crickett” Lawson and her husband, Dan, of Princeton; and several nieces, nephews, other relative and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother-in-law, Donnie Roberts.
