City Clerk Stephanie Stotts said the board approved a 54-cent per month raise for each customer of the city’s trash pickup, which is provided by Viola. The increase would set the rate at $13.90 per month, effective with the next billing cycle.

Oath of offices were administered to aldermen Harry Brown and Don Stephens as well as Ms. Stotts, who recently was hired to serve as the city clerk.
It was decided that the city would sell old brass water meters it currently has in storage.
The next meeting was set for Thursday, June 5. This would be a change in the regular meeting date.
