Peggy Jean Donelson, a 78-year-old resident of Princeton, died at her home on Tuesday, April 29, 2008.

Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Friday, May 2, 2008 at the Princeton Christian Church, under the direction of the Greenlee-Middleton Funeral Service at Princeton. Pastor Gary Watkins will officiate. Burial will be in the Fairley Cemetery.
Vistiation is under way at the funeral home, where a family visitation will be held from 7 to 8 o’clock tonight ( Thursday, May 1, 2008).
Mr. Donelson was born on the family farm, north of Princeton, on Sept. 27, 1929, the daughter of Alvin and Annah Higgins Foster. She graduated in 1947 from Princeton High School. She worked as a bookkeeper for the Hoover Oil Station for six years, then for the Hayward Oil Station for the next 23 years.
She was married on Oct. 31, 1947 to John Paul Donelson, who survives of the home .The couple purchased Hawyard Oil in 1980 and renamed it Peggy’s 66 Service and Diner. They also owned the Donelson Supply Co. and first Key Pump Gas Service business until retiring in 1992. They traveled to many states, going to craft shows.
She was a member of the Princeton Christian Church, the Princeton Go Go’s chapter of the Red Hat Society, the Princeton County Club and had been secretary-treasurer of the Fairley Cemetery.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by one son, Kent Donelson and his wife, Tammy, of Princeton; three grandchildren, Brett Donelson and his wife, Sherri, of Kearney and Brock and Braden Donelson of Princeton; and a cousin, Sharon Johnson of Princeton.
The family suggests memorials to the Princeton Christian Church. They may be left at or mailed to the funeral home.
