The commission accepted a bid from Metal Culverts, which is headquartered in Jefferson City, for pipe. It was the lowest of three bids received. The commission also announced the re-opening of the Slough Bridge, located on Crowder Road near the water treatment plant. The bridge was recently replaced. In addition, the commission announced that at last week’s meeting, it was agreed to allow the radio tower on the courthouse to be used by HAM radio operators. There will be no cost for the use of the antenna as it was noted that HAM radios are often used in the event of a community emergency.
