Funeral services for Harve D. Nigh will be held at 1:30 p.m. on Tuesday, April 29, 2008 at the Modena Baptist Church in Modena. Rev. Hugh G. Watkins will officiate. Burial will be at Resthaven Memorial Gardens. north of Trenton.

Family visitation will be held from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. at the church. General visitation is under way at the Slater Funeral Home in Trenton.
Mr. Nigh, and 88-year-old resident of Trenton, died on Friday morning, April 25, 2008 at Wright Memorial Hospital in Trenton.
Mr. Nigh, was born May 5, 1919 in Modena, the son of George Hobart and Edna Mae Trainer Nigh. He attended Princeton schools at Princeton. He lived in Kansas City, where was employed by Reeves and Weidman Plumbing Warehouse of Kansas City. He then moved to Modena, where he was farmer before retiring and moving to Trenton.
Mr. Nigh was a veteran of World War II, serving in the U.S. Army at the rank of staff sergeant, and also was involves in the Battle of the Bulge.
He was married on July 17, 1944 at Troy, KS, to Mary Evans Nigh, who preceded him death on May 24, 1988.
He is survived by one daughter, Linda Wendt of Champaign, IL: two sons, Gary Nigh and his wife, Cherie, of Topeka, KS and Terry Nigh and his wife, Marta, of Hamilton; one sister. Martha Jean Wirt and her husband, Russell Jr., of Lee’s Summit; one brother, Larry Nigh and his wife, Mary, of Overland Park, KS; six grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
